(Richmond, IN)--A Richmond woman was on a mandatory 24-hour hold in jail after allegedly battering a child overnight Sunday night into Monday morning.  40-year-old Latrice Buchanan was taken into custody early Monday morning after police responded to her home in the 1700 block of South J and charged her with domestic battery against a child.  There’s no word yet on whether or not the child suffered any serious injuries.  Buchanan was also charged with public intoxication.
