NORTH 11th STABBING BEGAN WITH ARGUMENT OVER WHO GOT TO USE BATHROOM FIRST

(Richmond, IN)--Charges were filed Wednesday in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred last weekend on North 11th that left an officer surrounded by more than two dozen people.  Jose Garcia Velasco was charged Wednesday with domestic battery with a deadly weapon.  According to court documents, Velasco began fighting with his girlfriend over who would get to use the bathroom first.  That argument escalated to a stabbing.  When the first officer arrived, he called for help after being surrounded by 30 people.  Velasco stabbed himself before being arrested.
