(Wayne County, IN)--So far, Wayne County has excaped an illness that is affecting other parts of the Midwest. "I received my report one week ago and, at that time, there were no local cases," said Wayne County Health Officer Dr. Jennifer Bales yesterday talking about cyclosporiasis. It’s an illness caused by an intestinal parasite that is being transmitted mostly through unwashed fruits and vegetables. There are less than 200 cases in Indiana.
