PROPOSED RP&L RATE HIKE SENT TO FINANCE COMMITTEE

(Richmond, IN)--Richmond Common Council met Monday night and briefly addressed a proposed rate hike for Richmond Power & Light.  "Tonight, our simple request is to refer this to Finance Committee for review.  We'll come back at a later date for presentation and public hearing," said RP&L General Manager Tony Foster.  RP&L has proposed a phased rate increase totaling just under $14 extra per month for the average residential customer to be implemented in increments over a three-year period.
