Police are investigating how a large swarm of bees ended up in a car on Normandy Road Sunday morning, prompting a 911 call.

Lt. Timothy McDermott said police responded to a call at 11:09 a.m. Sunday reporting a swarm of bees inside a vehicle at 87 Normandy Road. He said a woman had been stung by a bee, but believed there were no serious injuries.

Police believe the bees were placed in the trunk of the vehicle intentionally and are investigating the incident."
