From Hold My Drink and Watch this today, a Nevada 16-year-old Carter Wilkinson asked Wendy’s how many retweets it would take to earn free chicken nuggets for a year. The fast-food chain replied with the seemingly unattainable figure of “18 million.” Wilkinson might not reach that milestone, but as of Tuesday, his original free-nugget tweet had been retweeted some 2.5 million times, putting him within striking distance of the social-media platform’s all-time record of 3.3 million retweets, which was set by Ellen DeGeneres’ star-studded selfie at the 2014 Oscars.
