Vinyl Records Are Outselling CDs!

2020 continues to surprise, this time for a good reason!

Vinyl record sales nearly doubled CDs for the first half of the year! Vinyl brought in $232.1 million (a 4% increase), compared to $129.9 million in CD sales (a 48% drop). That marks the first time since the 80s that vinyl is on top of the mountain. At least, the non-virtual one.

Obviously, streaming and digital downloads are the main method of music delivery these days, and all physical sales combined are down 23%.
