Could there be a rift forming between a well known whiskey and the town where it's made?

 

Residents of Lynchburg, Tennessee are blaming the Jack Daniel's Distillery for a fungus that is appearing just about everywhere in town: houses, vehicles, and even on the trees!

 

The fungus doesn't appear to pose any harm to people, but the residents are finding themselves needing to power-wash their houses, and they'd like the distillery to cover the costs.
