Level III Travel Prohibited- (Travel Warning) Flooding Emergency Has Been Extended
On August 12th, 2026 at 3:00 P.M. the Wayne County Commissioners declared a Level III Travel Prohibited Flooding Emergency to be in effect in Wayne County, the City of Richmond and the Town of Centerville. This flooding emergency declaration has been extended, until 6:00 P.M. on August 13, 2026
**EDIT 1:02pm: Richmond’s Mayor Oler and Wayne County Emergency Management: The City of Richmond Building has been given permission to waive adherence to the level 3 advisory for the county.
Please do not take unnecessary risk. Your safety is a priority.
Cen-Sor Security in Cambridge City (1005 E Main St, Cambridge City, IN 47327):
We are setting up a station for people to drop off clothes blankets etc at Cen-Sor in Cambridge. Also at 1:30 we will be cooking hamburger and hot dogs as well." 1005 E Main St, Cambridge City, IN 47327
The Jackson Township Trustees Office phone lines are out of service. Any Jackson Township resident needing assistance may call the township cell at 765-591-4917. In addition, they are using the Cambridge Christian Church as the point of contact for any donations of water, food, money, etc.
The Golay Center now has power and is being used as a Red Cross Shelter.
