"The response from our surrounding communities and county has been incredible. We are extremely grateful for the overwhelming support, generosity, and donations being provided to those impacted by the flooding in western Wayne County.
At this time, the donation center has received more donations than anticipated and is working to inventory and organize the supplies already received.
We are asking the public to temporarily pause additional donations while this process is completed.
Once the current inventory is assessed, specific needs will be communicated so those wishing to help can provide the items most needed by impacted residents.

Flood Recovery Grant - Business Bridge Grant Program:
Together with the Economic Growth Group and Wayne County Government, we have established the Business Bridge Grant Program to provide immediate support to small businesses impacted by the recent flooding. Grants of $3,000–$5,000 are available to help eligible businesses remain operational while awaiting insurance reimbursements or State and Federal disaster assistance.
United Way of Whitewater Valley has established a new Storm Recovery Fund to both help meet immediate needs of residents and support long-term recovery. Donate Now
Wayne County Cares Fund Supporting Flood Relief:
Donations can be made to the Wayne County Cares Fund, established to provide support to communities affected by disasters. Donations will be distributed directly to communities impacted by the flooding. Donations are being accepted online, in person at the Foundation office or by mail.
If you would like your donation to support a specific community, select “designated purpose” when making your donation and indicate the community you wish to support.

The Williamsburg Church of the Nazarene is providing essential cleaning supplies, food items, and other relief resources for anyone affected by the August 2026 flooding.
