Sweet Blessings Bakery and Bistro

Sweet Blessings LLC is a locally owned and operated Bistro Bakery by Owners Brad and Connie Ropp, soon to be at 625 E Main St. Richmond, IN.

I, Connie Ropp, started the business 12 years ago baking out of my home and selling at the Richmond Farmers Market. Baking and cooking have always been my favorite thing to do since I started baking at 10 years old. Brad also realized he loved to bake. My childhood dream was to open a bakery, but life got in the way, so I forgot about it for years.

As we began to grow, we moved, Brad built a second kitchen but that soon was not enough to hold us. The customer response has been so overwhelming we realized we needed to keeping moving forward.

We found the beautiful old building on Main Street and knew we had to have it. We purchased in October of 2019 and began the long task of renovations. We are very close to having the first floor completed and open to the public. 

What We Offer

Our menu is vast, ranging from sweet and savory breads to pies, cupcakes, cookies, rolls, candy and as you guessed it, decorated cakes. We added the decorated cakes when it was discovered that our Daughter in law, Becci was an accomplished decorator with several years’ experience. She rediscovered her love when assisting on one for a friend and we just brought her services right in. 

We make everything from scratch and with that old-time flavor many will remember from days gone by. We love creating so we have many creations we just experiment with and hit a home run.

We make and decorate Birthday, Shower, Anniversary and of course Bridal cakes with the wonderful decorator, Becci Hoover completing the fabulous looks. Our cakes are, as we call them, Simply Elegant, in many flavors of cake and frostings. We give each attention to detail, delivered and set up on your Special Day. We include a 6“ anniversary cake along with your wedding cake as a gift from us.
