Jelly Roll Laughs Off The News About His Damaged Mercedes

Jelly Roll couldn’t help but laugh when his wife dinged up their brand-new $200,000 Mercedes Benz.

Bunnie XO told Jelly that she hit a rock in a Facetime call posted to TikTok. His response was, “You didn’t hit a rock, you hit a boulder.”

She shot back with, “Why do we have boulders in our front yard?”

The two giggled about the incident before the “Son of a Sinner” singer signed off by saying, “Don’t let my wife drive without her glasses. I love you.”

Jon Pardi Says Rhett Akins Suggested Luke Bryan For His Latest Single

Jon Pardi‘s latest single with Luke Bryan, “Cowboys And Plowboys” is climbing the country charts, and it’s the first new music from him since the album, Mr. Saturday Night

He says one of the songwriters sent it to him and even suggested his duet partner. Jon tells us more:

“I remember hearing it for the first time ‘cause Rhett Akins sent it to me and said, ‘You and Luke need to record this song,’” says Jon. “Luke called me like an hour later was like, ‘We gonna do this song, man?’ And it was just perfect. He comes from a farming background. I come from a farming/cowboys kind of lifestyle all the time now. It’s just perfect for me and him to sing together.”

Eric Church & Morgan Wallen Relaunch 'Field & Stream' Magazine

Eric Church and Morgan Wallen are planning to relaunch Field & Stream magazine.

The country singers are part of a group of investors that plan to revive the outdoor brand as a print magazine, website, and apparel company as well as a live music festival.

Church wrote on Instagram Thursday (January 25th), “I can remember my grandfather kept a few of his favorite Field & Stream magazines on the dash of his truck. That truck took us on hundreds of outdoor adventures and I all but memorized every story and every picture on every page. They were my Bible. It is the honor of my life to make sure that legacy carries on. It is both this responsibility to an American Icon and also to a young boy in his papaw’s truck that will be the compass that guides our steps.”

The iconic brand originally launched in 1871.

Megan Moroney's New Single Came From Personal Experience

Megan Moroney has two songs in the Top 30 right now… “I’m Not Pretty,” which has been charting since August. Plus, her collaboration with Old Dominion, “Can’t Break Up Now.” And it looks like she’s about to add a 3rd song to that list.

Megan’s new single, “No Caller ID,” was produced by Sugar Land’s Kristian Bush. We talked with Megan about her new song and she says the idea came from a personal experience:

“So No Caller ID was written with Jessi Alexander, Jessie Joe Dillon and Connie Harrington. And I was in the middle of tour, it was in July. And it was like the first free day I had to write. So we wrote the first song, which is going to be on my next album, and then we had some time after because we wrote that one so quickly. And I was like, kind of just explaining what was going on in my life. And No Caller ID is about if you’ve had an ex that is blocked and still finds ways to contact you. I think you’ll just kind of understand the song, but I like the growth that the song shows and represents and it’s one of my favorites.”

Elle King Postpones Upcoming Show Amongst Opry Controversy

Elle King rescheduled her Friday (January 26th) show in Fort Worth, Texas, following her controversial performance at a Grand Ole Opry concert over the weekend.

Billboard reports the show at Billy Bob’s Texas will now take place on September 21st.

The news comes after King’s profanity-laced performance during a Dolly Parton tribute show in which King admitted on stage that she was “hammered.”

Elle King's Drunken Grand Ole Opry Performance

Elle King recently gave a very drunken performance at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville Tennessee. The audience, as well as several celebrities (including Dolly Parton's sister) have taken to social media to express their frustration with her performance. During her show, she was attempting to pay tribute to Dolly's birthday by singing one of her songs, but rather she botches the song by forgetting the lyrics, yells profanities at the crowd about being 'hammered', and eventually even mocks them saying 'Y'all bought tickets for this ****, y'all ain't gettin' your money back!" The Grand Ole Opry even took to X and issued a public apology for her slurred and profane performance. Check out the performance, the Opry’s apology, and Dolly’s sister’s take on the situation below:

Garth Brooks Plans To Release Five More Chris Gaines Albums

Garth Brooks is not quite finished with his alter ego, rocker Chris Gaines. He confirmed June 7th, that he intends to release more music as the movie character that never was.

Chris Gaines was the fictional lead character in a movie called The Lamb which never made it to theaters. The 1999 album, Garth Brooks… In the Life of Chris Gaines, was originally recorded as a companion album to a film, so it became a little confusing for fans at the time.

Garth explained that the album was created as a compilation of songs from five of Chris Gaines' fictional records. Today, he still wants to release those albums. Garth said, “The five albums have to come out . . . The Gaines project was a lot of time put in, because it's not natural, right? You're acting on a record. But I want to do it . . . I don't know when we're going to get to it, but it’s on the list that we're going to get done. Five albums."

Jelly Roll Gives Powerful Speech To Congress About The Fentanyl Epidemic

Jelly Roll went to Capitol Hill Thursday (January 11th) to take a powerful stance against the fentanyl epidemic.

The former drug dealer gave Congress examples of how his life’s been personally affected by the opiate epidemic in an effort to encourage them to pass the FEND Off Fentanyl act.

The 39-year-old Grammy Nominee said, “I've attended more funerals than I care to share with you all [on] this committee. I could sit here and cry for days about the caskets I've carried of people I loved dearly, deeply in my soul — good people, not just drug addicts. Uncles, friends, cousins, normal people, some people that just got in a car wreck and started taking a pain pill to manage it. One thing led to the other and how fast it spirals out of control — I don't think people truly, truly understand.”

The "Son of a Sinner" singer posted a C-Span clip of the hearing to Instagram where he thanked Chairman Senator Brown and Senator Scott for allowing him to "speak on behalf of the broken in todays hearing."  He wrote, "I pray this message is the beginning of a real change and awareness when it comes to Fentanyl and Drug Addiction in America."

Carrie Underwood Had Lots To Celebrate In 2023

Carrie Underwood wrapped a stellar 2023 with numerous highlights including joining Guns N’ Roses on their North America Tour for stadium appearances over the summer. She also made 43 stops on her own arena tour that kicked off over a year ago to promote her album, Denim & Rhinestones.

Just this fall, she released a Deluxe Edition of her 2022 album, that features six new tracks. We asked her about it and she told us how she came up with the title:

“I love the song ‘Denim & Rhinestones,’ first and foremost, but I thought there was just something so cool about the title of it that is very me, that I wanted to name my album Denim & Rhinestones. When you think of Denim & Rhinestones, you think of the staples in your closet, the things that are reliable, the things that are comfortable, that you always feel good in them. Then you think of rhinestones and it’s all the things that sparkle on top, and I feel like that kind of just sums up me. It sums up this album. It’s a little vintage. It’s a little shiny, and it just makes you feel good. So, I felt like that was the perfect title for this album.”

Highlights...

  • Her Las Vegas Residency continues into 2024.
  • She launched CARRIE’S COUNTRY, her own 24-hour 24/7 channel on SiriusXM channel 60, in June.
  • Carrie celebrated her 11th Season performing the Sunday Night Football anthem.
  • In October, Carrie began a collaboration with Allegiant Travel Company, in support of the company’s Allways Rewards Visa® credit card and loyalty program, which kicked off with three national spots.
  • Carrie brought the house down with her showstopping tribute to inductee George Michael at the 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, which streamed live on Disney TV+ and will air on ABC in January.
